Hollicars is well placed for cycling. The Sustrans Cycle track is situated only half a mile away from Hollicars, perfect for seeing the area at your pace with traffic worries. Bike hire is available from reception, with helmets and a full recovery service provided

There are nature trails in abundance at Hollicarrs. Carefully carved out among the trees around the lodge park, leading you through bluebell dells, primrose banks and past our bide hide to spot wildlife

Relax with an afternoon by the exclusive, well-stocked fishing lake. The fishing lake is set in a beautiful woodland surrounds and just a short walk from our lodge. Disabled fishing facilities are provided. A fishing permit is required and you will need to bring your own equipment

Just next door sits the renowned Three Haggis Woodmeadow, run by Plantlife International famous for its work on wildflowers, plants and fungi. The reserve is renowned for its combination of woodland and meadow which generates a huge uplift in biodiversity through a mosaic of habitats and abundance of messy edges

FINDING US

Hollicarrs is situated on the east side of the A19 York/Selby road, approximately 8 miles from York just past the village of Escrick. Driving from York down the A19 towards Selby you will pass through the village of Escrick. Approximately 2 miles after the village of Escrick 'The Hollicarrs' is signposted off to the left. After turning left follow this road for a short distance and you will see the main entrance to the Hollicarrs on your left.
